NetSet is a handy utility for switching between multiple network configurations, location-based. It allows you to have e.g. one network configuration at work, and another at home. It support templates, which contain information on what registry keys or ini files to watch.

NetSet has a template architecture, you can define what registry keys or what ini file sections to watch for changes. Templates are simple REG files, to be imported by regedit.
Templates should be stored under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softward\Ward\NetSet\Template as string values, where Name represents the description of the 'thing to watch', and Value is the 'thing to watch'. Value can either be a fully qualified registry key, or a concatenation ini filename, section name, and key name.
Examples:
Name | Data |
App Eudora SMTP | INI_FILE\c:\program files\qualcomm\eudora\eudora.ini|Settings|SMTPServer |
Name | Data |
App IE Proxy | HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ProxyEnable |
Available templates are downloadable rom this page. If you develop your own template, please submit it to me so I can include it on this page.
